Seems like an easy concept. Treat people the way you want to be treated. Show folks that you value their intelligence and hard work. Talk to people like they are your intellectual equals, if not better. Be thoughtful when dishing out criticism or setting protocol. No one wants to be talked down to, scolded, or chided. Especially in the workplace. No one wants to be treated like a child.
Respect begets respect.
