Life In The Era of Social Distancing

Day #8 of Social Distancing – How was your Monday?

We can dream!

Another Monday has come and gone – the new normal is that all human interaction is via phone and video. Except with the family, of course. The younger people woke up, got themselves breakfast, logged into school and did their work. One child actually had a real video class today – and enjoyed it! The eldest had phone meetings this morning. It was heartening to hear the leader of the call asking each of the attendees to reflect on their Q1 results, what they did well, what they didn’t, what each one needed to work on personally, how they believe they are viewed by their peers, and their individual strengths. The call attendees have reading homework to discuss on Friday. They were given their goals for Q2, assuming that they are able to get back to work. It was an exercise in keeping a high-performing sales team engaged during this crisis.

How did your day go? Did you have endless conference calls? Are you all still working? Are your kids still doing their schoolwork? Have you found ways to connect with your networks? How are you meeting with your friends?
And if you are in need of some inspiration in the mornings, Whitney Johnson shares guardrails on how to manage during this time of massive disruption. She is live at 9 am on LinkedIn each morning.
Until tomorrow, friends!
