| Brainerd Lake & Full Moon this evening |
Well, here we are, past the 3 week mark of maintaining our distance and staying safe at home. My husband is still working in the essentially locked down bank branch, holding down the financial fort. My son filed for unemployment for the very first time today; let’s hope he is recalled as soon as the health professionals deem it safe to do so. The twins are on their final high school spring break, in the house. I cannot begin to understand how they must feel about the disruption to their senior year.
This morning, I attended a virtual networking event that I have not been able to attend in person for more than a year. It was surprisingly interesting and positive. I actually think we were able to make better connections with one another via video! I wouldn’t mind if all future networking was done via video. Later on in the day, I had a video panel interview with five people from an organization I really want to work for. God willing, they felt the same way. It is a little more difficult to read people via video, though. Not all non-verbal cues are detectable remotely. (Say a little prayer for me, please?)
As we traverse this new normal, and begin our new journey as this pandemic rages around us, we appropriately reflect on how we live, who we are on this journey with, and how we want things to be once we are beyond this moment in our collective consciousness.
I snapped this photo of the full moon reflected in the lake on my evening walk tonight. It prompted me to think about how this time has allowed more people to take the time to reflect, pause and appreciate what is, and has been, in front of them all this time.
Wishing you time to think, ponder, wonder, and of course, reflect.
