He’s really not that smart but he is a malignant, sadistic narcissist who gets off on people’s bad luck and the ensuing indignation of the rest of us.
However, I think he has a plan; ill-conceived and not quite solid, but a plan nonetheless.
Without a national, cohesive response to the pandemic, lock downs will continue on a rolling basis; unrest and divisiveness is all but assured. Varying degrees of success in combating COVID-19 will deplete local economies and set us up for a very long recovery. Pandemonium gives #45 and his enablers, chief among them the Senate Majority Leader, cover to continue to dismantle the republic from the inside. A longer lasting quarantine provides an excuse to postpone elections, and solidify plans for voter suppression as well as changing the laws designed to protect the vulnerable.
And there it is folks, the end game: postpone the presidential election and seize more power for the executive branch, load the courts with conservative, corporate-leaning judges, and allow the GOP and their donor base to collect even more money at the expense of the American people, particularly those who are most vulnerable.
To be sure, the person who wonders aloud at the curing effects of injected disinfectant and very strong light, is not bright enough to conceive of this idea all on his own. All of the other members of his despicable squad, seeking to enrich themselves or carry out their own nefarious end-games (see a certain senior advisor’s influence on sadistic, evil and cruel immigration policies; the SML and his ‘let’s let states go bankrupt while my state takes everyone else’s money while I pack the courts’), plant ideas in the empty orange hull to bounce around and come out as a way to postpone his being held accountable for crimes committed before and during his presidency. In my opinion, the only way this particular criminal enterprise will leave the safety of the White House will be if the incoming administration promises not to prosecute.
I can only hope that plans are underway to accomplish this, with loopholes that exempt the Southern District of New York from the promise.
Perhaps a disinfectant cocktail to clear the White House of its virus is in order? I believe the extermination date is November 3, 2020.
